Turnaround Timbers offers a full set up Plans and Procedures for The Stool Project TT01. The plans are detailed and the procedures cover every step. The procedures are written in accessible language and include teachers notes, clear students steps, and photos demonstrating each step of marking out, cutting, and shaping. Students could become largely self-directed with these Plans and Procedures (if this is desired).
This would be a one-off purchase and we ask that you don't spread them around via the teacher sharing network (you know what we're talking about!). Share the link to this product instead--do your bit to promote wood recycling and sustainability.
The plans for the jigs and templates required are also included in the plans.

Tested
This project, and the construction process, have been student/school tested by experienced woodwork teacher Scott Barnham and is guaranteed to produce a fail-safe final product for all skill levels. Students are always super proud of the finished stool and are eager to take it home, and we guarantee it will become part of family history for many years.
Sustainability and the curriculum
Constructing out of recycled wood provides excellent curriculum opportunities to explore the mandated consideration of sustainability at all levels of the design process. Learning about sustainability becomes a concrete learning experience and not just abstract theory.
