Rustic and rare
Wood with a rustic, weathered look is waiting to be featured in your special project in your home or office. Or is a piece of rare wood what you are after?

Rustic wood
There is something about the way that hardwood weathers that gives it great appeal. We will often only lightly plane so the natural grey weathered look remains. Some pieces have deep weathered cracks after planing making them highly sort-after.

Rare wood
Most waste wood comes from construction and is generally hardwood or oregon. However, occasionally we come across some rarer wood like Australian cedar, beech, Tasmanian blackwood, rock maple, black bean, rosewood, coach wood, etc.

Rare logs
We have some short logs that we salvage from local arborists before they are mulched. We like to salvage trees like jacaranda, silky oak, casuarina (she-oak), fruit trees, and camphor laurel. These are excellent for wood turning.
Come and look
You might be making a barn door, picture frame, feature wall, coffee table, piece of furniture, guitar, a bowl, or a Year 12 major work. Whatever you're making, come in, look around, touch the wood, smell the workshop, who knows what surprise pieces are waiting there ready for your special project.
Come and see what we've got.
